Ingrid Dzerins and family, Bradford, c.1975
Family photograph celebrating the visit of Baiba Znotins to see her daughter Ingrid and family in Bradford. After years of trying to visit the family from Soviet Latvia, Baiba was only given permission to travel alone for a short period, there were fears that Soviet Latvian citizens may defect to the West if they travelled in groups or stayed for long periods of time.
