Shaheen Hafeez, Southfield Square, 1972

Shaheen Hafeez learnt how to sew and made this dress by hand. She recalls that her parents allowed her to wear what she wanted whilst remaining modest. Shaheen’s brother, a budding photographer, took the photo and developed this image himself.
