Gem Harris, Queens Road, c.1967

Gem moved to the UK in 1958, and travelled to Bradford alone to reunite with her husband-to-be Ezra, she remembers the journey taking a long time, but can’t recall how she paid for her train or bus ticket. Gem and Ezra married soon after her arrival and bought their first home on Queens Road.
