Rainis Berzins and the Bekeris brothers, Grantham Road, 1959

Brothers Andris and Ivars Bekeris were close friends of Rainis, and the three often played out on the street together on Grantham Road. Rainis shared that he lost contact with one of the brothers, and the other passed away due to alcoholism, Rainis noted this is an unfortunate reality of many displaced individuals.
