Paul James and friends, Holmewood, 1965

The baby in the photo is Paul James at 6 weeks old. His mother Lorna recalls how the neighbourhood children played out together and fussed over Paul.

Paul and Lorna James lived in high rise flats facing a Holmewood factory bearing the ‘BFD’ sign. The factory has since been demolished.
