The Hall family, 1964
The Halls and other migrants on board the M/S Aurelia, sailing from Southampton to Melbourne. The Bradford family took advantage of the Assisted Passage Scheme, and were known as ‘ten-Pound-Poms’.
The photograph was taken at a fancy dress party for children on board the ship. Patricia, (front centre) dressed as ‘Night and Day’ and wears an outfit made of pyjamas and a jumper stitched together by her mother.
